What will I have to do?

Using Stockashop Designer, you only have to create the visual design, and make CSS changes. All the programming code to make the shopping basket, contact us, and content management work is already included. You don't even really need FTP.

When you first set up a Stockashop site, it looks like this blank Stockashop site. As a Stockashop Designer, you will be able to login to the management area of your new site and change the header image, add content, add images, and edit the CSS. Within a few minutes, it could easily look like this trial shop. Or you can just do the graphics and CSS and leave all the content to your client. For an example of the CSS used, please see the stylesheets for this site (which is a Stockashop itself). Almost all our Stockashops use the same core CSS stylesheet, with site specific CSS styles added through the management interface.

And you will be able to use the main Stockashop Designer area to turn on and off properties for the new website - like the search box, the PayPal email address, number of products allowed, etc.

Looking at our examples will give you a good idea of the flexibility of the Stockashop system. Although the sites are templated (header and menu at the top, two or three columns, footer at the bottom), it is possible to create a wide range of look and feels. For example, Liz Gjoni's site has a menu on the left, put there with some clever CSS.
